“Selfie”
We made a self-portrait of ourselves out of 6mm birchwood. De background is dyed in a wenge stain and the faces are rendered in light oak.
For this portrait we used a photo where the sunlight is coming from the right onto our faces. In this way the left side is in the shadow completely, creating a more abstract version of the portrait.
